About ReviewMy.World
We believe everyone deserves access to trustworthy information. Our mission is to bring transparency to news source credibility through rigorous, evidence-based analysis.
Our Mission
In an era of information overload, distinguishing reliable journalism from misinformation has become one of society's most pressing challenges. We founded ReviewMy.World to address this problem head-on.
Our platform provides transparent, evidence-based ratings for news sources worldwide. Unlike black-box algorithms or politically motivated rankings, we show our workâevery rating is backed by documented evidence that anyone can examine.
We don't tell you what to think. We give you the tools to think critically about where your information comes from.
Our Methodology
Every source is evaluated against 10 specific criteria. Here's exactly how we assess each one.
Factual Accuracy
We analyze a sample of the source's reporting against verified facts. This includes checking claims against primary sources, official records, and established fact-checking organizations. Sources that consistently report accurate information score higher.
Source Attribution
Does the source clearly identify where information comes from? We evaluate whether claims are attributed to named sources, documents, or data. Anonymous sourcing is noted but not automatically penalized when appropriately justified.
Editorial Standards
We examine whether the source has published editorial guidelines, a code of ethics, or standards of practice. We also assess whether these standards appear to be followed in practice through content analysis.
Correction Policy
How does the source handle mistakes? We look for clear correction policies, timely corrections, and whether corrections are prominently displayed. A willingness to correct errors is a sign of journalistic integrity.
Bias & Balance
We assess whether coverage presents multiple perspectives fairly. This doesn't mean "both sides" on settled facts, but rather whether the source gives appropriate weight to legitimate viewpoints and identifies its own perspective clearly.
Ownership Transparency
Who owns and funds the source? We evaluate whether ownership structure, major investors, and funding sources are clearly disclosed. Hidden ownership or undisclosed conflicts of interest result in lower scores.
Headline Accuracy
Do headlines accurately reflect article content? We analyze whether headlines are sensationalized, misleading, or designed primarily for clicks rather than information. Headlines should inform, not manipulate.
News vs Opinion Separation
Is there clear separation between factual news reporting and opinion/analysis? We look for clear labeling, distinct sections, and whether opinion is presented as fact. Blurring these lines reduces credibility.
Track Record
What is the source's historical credibility? We examine past performance including any major journalistic failures, awards, and recognition from credible journalism organizations. Longevity and consistency matter.
Deceptive Practices
Does the source use manipulative tactics? We look for evidence of coordinated inauthentic behavior, undisclosed sponsored content, fake experts, deceptive editing, or other practices designed to mislead readers.
How Scores Are Calculated
High Credibility
Generally reliable source with strong journalistic practices. Minor issues may exist but don't significantly impact trustworthiness.
Mixed Credibility
Source has significant issues in some areas. May be reliable for certain topics but requires verification of key claims.
Low Credibility
Source has serious credibility issues. Information should be independently verified before relying on it.

No Political Affiliation
We are not affiliated with any political party, campaign, or advocacy organization. Our ratings are based on journalistic standards, not political alignment.
Full Transparency
Every rating includes the evidence we used. We publish our methodology openly and welcome scrutiny. If we make a mistake, we correct it publicly.
Appeals Process
Any rated source can appeal their rating by providing evidence. We commit to reviewing appeals fairly and adjusting ratings when warranted by new evidence.
